When you read the term ‘secure’ as in XYZ is ‘secure’, please do not consider it an absolute statement of fact. It isn’t. XYZ may be secure only in my imperfect understanding of the technology at that moment and completely insecure in all other respects. ‘Secure’ technologies have an annoying habit of turning out to be not secure at the worst possible times.
Look, just because it worked for me at least once, or at least appeared to work, doesn’t mean it will work for you or work correctly or as described. Some really bad people use the internet and all of them want what you have. They will take it if you let them.
All change introduces risk and if that risk involves the internet, then it involves some really bad people who want to steal from you or do you serious harm in other ways. By implementing an advanced home network, or even one PC that goes on the internet, if you use any of the information or products found or referred to on this site, either directly or indirectly, you accept the entire risk and agree to hold me harmless for anything that happens.
The European Union keeps coming out with odder and odder issues regarding internet sites. If I make the EU angry, directly or indirectly, please tell me so I can be entertained, then go away. I don’t plan to change anything, and, since I have no assets in the EU, there’s nothing you can do about it.
